Monument Square or the Pathfinder

Monument Square or the Pathfinder – Peladão (naked)!

Did you know that the sculpture “Peladão (naked )' 'is called: Monument to Pathfinder?

And you were wondering why the monument is naked like that?

Or by whom it was created, or even why the monument was built?

Well, the Monument to the Pathfinder, was created by artist Henry Aragon, and he relied on a pioneer who arrived here in our town, and his nakedness is the pioneer who had nothing, and only by his power he created and developed the our city!

And the date on which the monument was inaugurated in researching you're curious, arms raised to heaven? The monument was inaugurated in 1972 and is a sculpture that depicts nudity and through his arms raised to heaven the simplicity and faith of the pioneers of Maringá. On the other hand, three stylizedaxessymbolize roads open in the city of virgin forest.


And for those who do not know, the Monument to the Pathfinder, or the called Praça do Peladão (naked square), is located on the square in September 7th Avenue Brazil.
